Added more tests to cover variable p and SEM bases definitions

Currently the test suite did not check for variable p basis definition and SEM expansions

Proposed solution

Add in a few more default files with variable p and SEM bases definitions and add them to the test suites

Added additional tests using the current test suite implementations.
